Tordimaro Azienda Agricola
The company is located in a beautiful position on the hills of Tordimonte a short distance from the cliff of Orvieto. It is managed since 1998 by two Swiss families, and Dittus-Füllemann Morellini-Walz, who came to Orvieto in the mid-nineties. It covers 24 hectares of vineyards of which 12 are specialized. It includes a modern winery, houses of residence and hospitality, with 650 olive trees, some wild and some features caves carved into the tufa. The main business activities are the production of fine wines and extra virgin olive oil, and holiday accommodation deals on autonomous residences for 2-4 people. The philosophy of the managers is geared to create a direct relationship, authenticity and trust between customers and producers.

WINES AND GRAPES
The company is distinguished by its attention to the ecological balance of the vineyard, a necessary condition to obtain the best grapes. In the cellar combine experience, innovation and modern winemaking techniques to give rise to wines of great personality, rich aromas of the grape and the soil. With 4600-5500 plants per hectare, the facilities meet the quality criteria of modern viticulture. In vineyards are the grape varieties of Orvieto Classico: Trebbiano / Procanico, Verdelho, Grechetto, Malvasia and Drupeggio. The main grape variety of the red variety is Sangiovese, followed by Barbera, Montepulciano, Canaiolo, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Merlot. Two important red, a Sangiovese and Cabernet, rich in tannin and extract, aged 18 months in cask and then bottled occur primarily as a wine terroir. “Step” for meditation (blend of Sauvignon blanc, Grechetto and Trebbiano), is the result of late harvest and the grapes are dried on reed mats.
