Castello delle Regine winery
Castle of the Queens is located between the towns of Narni and Amelia, his vines extend around the fortification called Castelluccio Amerino. WINES AND GRAPES
The 60 hectares of vineyards are located between 90 and 280 meters, on sandy-clay soil with mixed structure and optimal climatic conditions. Plants, with a density of 5600 vines per hectare, have recently created and are integrating the thirty-year old vineyards. The fermentation occurs in stainless steel tanks from 50 to 110 hl, with punching a controlled temperature. Among the products we mention the finest Podernovo Umbria IGT 2000, a pure Sangiovese aged in barrels and casks; Sangiovese Umbria IGT 2000, aged in barriques for 11 months, concentrated perfumes and strong and of good length; Princeps Umbria IGT 2000, S blend of Cabernet, Merlot and Sangiovese aged in barrels, which evolves with cherry, body and soft tannins, Merlot IGT Umbria 2000 with good hints of ripe fruit, black pepper and cassis.
