Valentine’s Day is the day of winelovers! Are so called bloggers of wine last year, for the first time, have come together to discover and let the world know the great wines of Umbria. From that first meeting, and under the aegis of Valentine’s Day has taken on a life of a community that today has a network of over 10 000 sommeliers, winemakers, journalists, experts and enthusiasts from all over the world.
Today bloggers wine back in Terni, the cultural center of Chaos, to Umbria for # winelovers, four days of tastings, pairings, seminars and courses to learn about the wines of Saint Valentine, the best of the wine production in the region represented by more than 70 wineries together as Top of Umbria. But also the culinary excellence of Umbria, with flavors of Valnerina, fair featuring local products, and the snacks copyright “signed” by the great interpreters of the Umbrian tradition. And yet, live music, art, theater and nature, mountain biking through the beautiful trails of the Valnerina.

They come from 11 countries, as well as from Italy, and call themselves “winelovers.” Theirs is a community that brings together more than 10 thousand followers on five continents. Traveling the world in search of wines to discover and territories to tell, and this year will meet in Terni, on the occasion of the birthday of # Winelover, for Valentine’s Day, to celebrate one of the most active and community dynamics of the web.
Armed with nose and smartphones, bloggers go through the products of over 70 wineries belonging to the consortium Umbria Top and then share via Twitter and Facebook their impressions with tens of thousands of followers around the world.
A kind of tasting via Twitter which you can participate from home or restaurant, following the hashtag # winelovers and retwittandolo in their post. This is what we do to prepare communities # winelovers in different cities around the world, who will participate in the event at the same time exchanging opinions and judgments on social networks.

SPECIAL JUBILEE 2013-2014.

The Apostolic Penitentiary, by mandate of the Supreme Pontiff Benedict XVI, with the Decree of March 13, 2012, authorized the celebration of a Jubilee Eucharistic extraordinary on the 750th anniversary of the bubble Transiturus with which Urban IV instituted the feast of Corpus Christi Orvieto throughout Christianity.

The Jubilee began in January 2013 with the opening of the Holy Door of the Basilica of Bolsena and Orvieto Cathedral and will end on November 16, 2014 with the closing of the Holy Doors.
By virtue of the Decree of the Supreme Pontiff, the Bishop of Orvieto-Todi or the bishop or cardinal who presides over the solemn liturgy of opening and closing of the Holy Doors will impart the Papal Blessing and grant ‘plenary indulgence under the usual conditions (sacramental Confession, Eucharistic Communion and prayer for the intentions of the Supreme Pontiff).

The Holy Door has preserved for centuries a strong symbolic value as a necessary step to the faithful to access the grace of reconciliation with God and the gift of the indulgence.
In Orvieto Cathedral of the Holy Door was identified in the door “Corporal” which opens on the north side near the Chapel which houses the holy relic of the miracle of Bolsena.

After Fornovo, where for twelve years, the event receives great success, Wines Winegrowers arrives at Orvieto: two days to sample and learn, in the Palace of the Captain of the People, those wines that boast the quality of the natural environment.
Natural, real, sincere, organic, biodynamic, passionate, authentic, simple, rich, human. These ten adjectives that the fair organizers like to use to define the wine you’ll find on wines Winemakers.
More than forty producers who “tell” the richness of diversity through their wines, fruit of passion, of organic farming / biodynamic, natural yeast and spontaneous fermentation.
