Three days with wine
Arrival in Orvieto at about 9 a.m. Guided tour of the city, discovering its museums and its most important monuments, such as St Patrick’s Well, the Cathedral with “San Brizio Chapel” and the National Archaeological Museum.
Lunch in a restaurant located in the historical centre. In the afternoon, guided tour in the medieval quarter and to the Regional Wine Promotion Board (Enoteca regionale) with wine tasting.
Accommodation in hotel, dinner at restaurant in the old town centre, overnight in hotel.
After breakfast in hotel depart to Todi, tour of the old town centre and its monuments: Tempio della Consolazione, the cathedral and the church of San Fortunato.
Transfer to Amelia for lunch in restaurant.
In the afternoon, guided tour of the town, which has very ancient origins and it was formerly known with the name of Amera, founded by Ameroe. Tour of the city and its “Mura Ciclopiche” (gigantic walls), the archaeological museum (with the famous statue of the Germanico) and the ancient Roman cisterns. At the end of the tour, visit of a winery and its vineyards with wine tasting.
In the late afternoon, return to Orvieto for dinner in restaurant and overnight in hotel.
Breakfast in hotel and depart to Terni.
Visit of the Marmore waterfalls through different nature trails: it is an artificial, flow controlled waterfall, among the highest in Europe with a jump of 165 metres (541 feet) divided into 3 sections.
Lunch in a restaurant. In the afternoon visit of a winery and wine tasting.
Transfer to Narni, walk in the old town centre, visiting its main points of interest: the Augustan bridge, the cathedral dome of St. Giovenale, the Priori Square and the church of St Domenico.
Departure in the late afternoon and return to your own accommodation.
